Sunnybrae outdoor edge
Outdoor Edge Elective
Our campus at Sunnybrae has some unique advantages that provide for excellent outdoor education. Our campus sits on Shuswap Lake and at the base of Mount Bastion. We are integrating some of the exceptional opportunities this region provides into our course selection.
Whether you are taking one, two, or three years of Millar’s Biblical Studies program, the Outdoor Edge class serves as an elective course that not only provides an opportunity for experiencing various outdoor activities, but incorporates Biblical and theological classroom learning. The Outdoor Edge courses consist of ten elective credit hours that are a hybrid of classroom instruction and practical hands-on skill development.

Outdoor Edge info
If you are interested in experiencing new activities and trying things that have a defined outdoor focus, this may be something you would like to pursue.
The necessary gear is minimal – you need a good pair of shoes or boots and a good sleeping bag. There is a fee for each semester which allows us to buy the gear we need to travel to some outlying locations from Sunnybrae. -
How to register
Because Outdoor Edge is an elective, you can register upon arrival while registering for your other courses. This allows you to explore and engage with Scripture and creation in the classroom setting and also while out on different Outdoor Edge trips throughout the year.
